The different (model-dependent) housings for our door air curtains are typically manufactured from galvanised sheet steel and partially from powder coated sheet steel. Here various surface treatments are used, such as powder coating in all commercially available colours.<\/p>\n

The housing can also be manufactured from stainless steel, on request. Special requirements and individual wishes on request.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/main><\/div><\/div>

Heat exchanger<\/h3>

With TEKADOOR products, the air intake and heating is always performed across the heat exchanger on the intake side. The surface of the heat exchanger is designed appropriately for the available heating media temperature, to achieve a discharge temperature of approx. 34\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Fans<\/h4>

TEKADOOR uses different types of fans depending on the type of unit. Apart from our industrial door air curtains TIC (axial fans) and the recirculating air curtain PREVENT (tangential fans), our other door air curtains use radial fans which can intake air in both directions.<\/p>\n

The advantage of this type of fan is that it is relatively quiet and has smaller dimensions. All the fans used by Tekadoor do not just comply with the Directive ErP2015 (minimum efficiency requirements for fans within the EU), but actually exceed this standard. Most of our door air curtains are already equipped with fans using proven GreenTech EC technology from ebm-papst. Here the efficiency is > 90% under partial load operation. This is approx. 30-35% higher than for conventional AC fans. This does not just increase the efficiency, but also reduces the operating costs. Furthermore, EC fans have other advantages: including soft start-up (giving a longer lifetime), they are quieter and have blocking protection, overheating protection for the electronics, and a motor protection function \u2013 even at 60 Hz, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Intake grille<\/h5>

Depending on the type and model, our air curtains use different intake grilles and grille forms. We use either an aluminium slatted grille with a renewable filter or a filterless fine-perforated grille or micro grille.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Pressure and equalisation chamber<\/h6>
<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The air drawn in over the heater by the fan is blown into a pressure\/equalisation chamber. This is installed directly before the discharge nozzle. In combination with the discharge nozzle, it has the task of generating a discharge air stream with constant pressure and laminar flow \u2013 across the entire discharge width of the unit. At the same time, this means that the proportion of turbulent flow is reduced. The higher the back pressure which can be built up by a nozzle, the easier it is to achieve a laminar airflow.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Installation variants<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>

Essentially, an air curtain system can be installed free-hanging in a visible area, flush with the ceiling, or within a suspended ceiling. If the air curtain is installed within a suspended ceiling, supports\/sliding supports for air guidance are required. For suspended installation, you can choose between a SLW version (standard air roll) with air intake from the room, or a ULW version (reversed air roll) with air intake by the door. Our Secon and Contur model series are excellently suited to ULW installation. Our design air curtains Colum and Wing were especially developed for vertical, and Dual, Ellipse and Nouveauline for horizontal, visible applications. The air curtain model series Zephyr, Secon and Contur can be installed visibly free-hanging or within a suspended ceiling. Only the model series Zephyr and Dual cassette are exclusively suitable for ceiling-flush installation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>
