TWINOR is the efficient air curtain solution for large entryways with heavy foot traffic. Thanks to the innovative TWINtec counterflow principle, the system provides particularly effective protection even in multi-story buildings with strong internal thermal currents.

As an economical alternative to complex and costly vestibule or double-door designs, the air curtain offers efficiency, convenience, and reliable performance.

The self-supporting sheet steel housing, which is screw-free in the visible area, is equipped with an easy-to-install mounting bracket and is available in the standard color white (RAL 9016). Custom colors or a stainless steel finish are available. The access panel is screwed into place behind the intake grille. Adjustable, aerodynamically optimized Synchrostream discharge system (natural anodized) that flushes with the bottom of the unit. Intake grille (in RAL 9006) made of perforated sheet metal with a G2 rigid foam filter behind it, or a micro-intake grille.

The efficiency of the EC fans used by Tekadoor is >90% under partial load, which is approximately 30–35% higher than that of conventional AC fans. This not only increases efficiency but also reduces operating costs. The individually driven EC fans with integrated motor protection feature double-sided intake, are mounted on vibration-free bearings, and are controlled by a PWM (pulse width modulation) signal. They not only comply with the ErP Directive but actually exceed this standard.

TEKADOOR CAT Electronic Multifunctional Control System

  • A 20-meter pre-assembled, shielded data cable is included as standard with devices equipped with PWW and electric heating.
  • The 5-stage CAT control system includes a manual/automatic mode and a summer/winter switch as standard features.
  • A weekly timer with a timer function can be implemented optionally using enable contacts.
  • For winter operation, a solenoid valve rated up to 2.5 A can be connected (optional).
  • With the CAT control system, the airflow can be manually adjusted in 5 steps, and the heating output—which, in the case of electric heating, depends on the fan speed—can be manually adjusted in 3 steps.
  • An enable contact and potential-free operating and fault signals are available for control via a customer-supplied BMS or DDC.
  • Up to 10 devices can be connected in parallel in a master-slave configuration.
  • On-site control via a ModBus interface is also possible.

The TWINtec® counterflow principle effectively separates climate zones and reliably prevents cold air from entering all the way down to floor level. The result: greater energy efficiency, noticeably higher comfort, and more usable space in the entryway.

Simple and easy-to-install mounting using recessed rivet nuts (M8) on the top of the unit and mounting hardware available as an accessory. In the standard configuration, the unit does not need to be opened for electrical connection. Terminal blocks for the power supply, as well as the connectors for the control unit and parallel operation, are accessible from the outside.

Easy-to-maintain filter cleaning thanks to the unit's simple opening mechanism. The inspection hatch on the underside of the unit—which is blind-bolted and secured (hinged on one side)—is easy to open for maintenance work.
