The solenoid valve is used for automatic control of the heating water circuit in air curtain systems with water-cooled heating coils. It is designed as a normally closed 2-way shut-off valve with a pilot-operated diaphragm and is suitable for reliable on/off control of the heating water flow. Automatic control can be achieved via the summer/winter switch on the control unit. The electrical connection is rated for 230 V.
During summer operation or when the air curtain is turned off, the heating water circuit is shut off. This interrupts the water supply to the heating coil and prevents unnecessary heat loss. This supports demand-based, energy-efficient operation and ensures that the air curtain is supplied with heating water only when heat is actually needed.
Thanks to its normally closed design, the solenoid valve provides a defined safety function when deactivated. This makes it particularly suitable for systems that require automatic and complete isolation of the heating water circuit when the heating system is not in operation.
